The lively Villamartín Plaza
For a fun and lively night out, Villamartin Plaza is the perfect place to be! This charming square, filled with cozy restaurants, bars and cafés, often featuring live music and is just a 15‑minute walk from the Cabaña de Pescadores apartment.
Downtown Torrevieja
Want to soak up some city vibes? Torrevieja is the ideal spot! Wander along the boulevard, take in the views of the marina, or enjoy a drink on a terrace by the beach.
La Zenia Boulevard
A large new shopping centre with a wide selection of shops and restaurants. On a hot summer day, the entire centre is covered, so you can stroll around comfortably and cool off in the air‑conditioned stores whenever you like.

In the surrounding area you’ll find plenty of wonderful restaurants, and these are some of our personal favourites:
- El Mesón de la Costa in Torrevieja: A must‑visit for true meat and seafood lovers. And make sure to save some room for dessert.
- Restaurante La Mirada in La Zenia: Perfect for a delicious lunch right by the beach.
- Bella Tapas in Rojales: Serving wonderfully flavourful tapas.
- Restaurante Finca La Vuelta in Formentera del Segura: A cosy spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
- Nautilus Restaurante in Punta Prima: Beautiful sea views and a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal by the water.
Laguna Salada de Torrevieja - The Pink Lake
The salt lakes of Torrevieja (Laguna Rosa) offer unique health benefits thanks to their mineral‑rich water and mud, which contain high levels of magnesium, calcium and potassium. You can enjoy beautiful walks or bike rides in the healthy air, with the paths around the Salinas de Torrevieja being ideal for peaceful routes through the fresh, salty breeze. It’s also possible to plan a relaxing visit with the tourist train, which departs daily from Paseo de la Libertad in the centre of Torrevieja.
One of the best recommendations is to visit the salt lakes at sunset, when you can capture the most stunning photos of the pink water. The nature reserve surrounding the lake is also home to many pink flamingos, perfect for an extra special photo.
Please note that the salt lake is not always pink. The colour depends on the concentration of bacteria and algae that thrive in extremely salty water and strong sunlight.
Healthy Mud Baths - Mar Menor
The famous “healthy” mud baths are located in Lo Pagán (San Pedro del Pinatar), about a 20–30 minute drive south of Torrevieja. In the Mar Menor lagoon, you can apply the therapeutic, mineral‑rich black mud to your skin, let it dry and then rinse it off — a tradition believed to be soothing for the skin and joints.
Fun facts about the mud baths in Lo Pagán
- Benefits: The mud is rich in calcium, salt, iodine and magnesium, which many people associate with relief from rheumatism, skin conditions and overall relaxation.
- Always open & free: You can visit the mud baths at any time of day, all year round.
- How it works: After applying the mud, let it dry in the sun. Then rinse it off in the water. You can also enjoy a refreshing swim in the Mar Menor. Tip: Bring some fresh water to rinse off afterwards, as the mud and salt can dry on the skin.
- Information point: There is an information stand on site if you’d like to learn more.
- Shade available: Thanks to the many palm trees, you can also find shaded spots.
- Popular with locals: Many residents visit the mud baths regularly (once a week or every 4–5 days).
- Location:The mud bath area is located at the end of the beach in Lo Pagán, near the Salinas footbridge.
Golfing in beautiful Spain
In the Villamartin area you’ll find three major golf courses:
⛳Villamartin Golf: Located within walking distance, just 1.3 km from the apartment. This is a wonderfully peaceful course, perfect if you want to play a relaxed round of golf. Beginners are more than welcome here.
⛳Las Colinas Golf & Country Club: Situated 13.2 km from the apartment. This is the place to be if you enjoy a touch of luxury. Las Colinas is an extensive 10,000‑hectare resort featuring a golf course, beach club, restaurant and sushi bar.
⛳Las Ramblas Golf: Located 6.2 km from the apartment, this beautifully designed course offers stunning views and a more scenic, adventurous layout.

Appartement was ruim, schoon, modern en alles wat je maar kon wensen!
We hadden hier zeker langer kunnen verblijven! Ook de afstand naar het strand of eetgelegenheid was goed te doen.

Geweldige omgeving en prachtige accommodatie, alles tip top tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Rustig gelegen en niet ver voor mooie uitstappen. Top!!!!!!!
Heerlijk verblijf in luxe in een goed verzorgd appartement.
Bij het appartement zit een heerlijk zwembad en het ligt in een mooie omgeving. Daarnaast zijn er genoeg mogelijkheden om de omgeving te ontdekken.

Wij hebben een heel aangenaam verblijf gehad in dit mooie en nieuwe appartement. Alles was kraaknet bij aankomst, en alles zag er nieuw uit; De meubels en inrichting zijn erg confortabel. Dat was heel fijn! De badkamers hebben een heel ruime indloopdouche en leuke lampjes rond de spiegel. Het terras …
Hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad, ontvangst was in overleg qua tijd dikke prima! Verder een mooi verzorgd appartement! Hebben echt genoten, mooi balkon waar je uitkijkt op het zwembad!
